PayZone is a versatile drilling predictive simulator software suite that utilizes field data and many different types of rock layers.
HOW IT WORKS
The PayZone predictive simulator determines optimum conditions for drilling new wells utilizing offset data. It allows for fine-tuning of the process. Validation is by matching predicted versus actual drilling curves. Once accomplished, a new well can be drilled, in similar environmental conditions, but with optimized drilling parameters.
This training tool has a set of simple and challenging exercises that teach students the drilling process under different drilling scenarios. It can be used for research to identify the importance of drilling parameters for drilling efficiency. The simulator allows for defining different lithology along the wellbore, in terms of rock type, strength and abrasiveness.
